Orchard

Although it may look like a parking lot today, an apple orchard grew here during the time of the Palmer Family's ownership. Previously, in the Van Norden era, it was a horse paddock. Sadly most of the trees were cut down in 1968 when the area was converted to a parking lot for the Methodist Church. Consideration is being given to replanting this orchard and removing the parking lot to create more natural space and an all pedestrian access.
