GROUNDS
On the expansive 23-acre grounds of the Jay Estate, you will find the meadow, ha-ha wall, remnants of the orchard, bowling alley, outdoor tennis courts, Boston Post Road, the kennels, and the vegetable gardens and rye field, as well as countless species of flora to admire. You will also see great progress in our efforts to restore native species to the meadow, which helps reclaim its original beauty and attract pollinators.
As you walk the grounds of the Jay Estate, it is important to be mindful of the Native American history that came long before before the Jays settled here. Click here to explore.
Remember: As you tour the grounds and meadow of the Jay Heritage Center, be wary of ticks, and check for them once you get home. Also, be sure to wipe off your shoes and do anything necessary to prevent the unintentional spread of invasive species.
