Van Norden Zebra Barn, 1907

The Zebra Barn was built alongside the Carriage House by the Van Norden family to house exotic zebras and zebus, planning to breed them with horses to create zebroids (hybrids). They only lived there for two years before the Van Nordens sent the zebras to a new home. Today, it is our restoration workshop.
